SunDancer Adventure Races Volunteer Job Duties
Thank you, for your support as a volunteer for the SunDancer Adventure Races. There are a variety of areas that we need help to have a successful race. As a volunteer you will receive a t-shirt, food and refreshments at pre & post race parties, chance to win exciting door prizes, an opportunity to participate in the silent auction. Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat (if needed), a beach towel or chair to sit on.Different positions require different arrival times.

| Registration - Check - in participants, give out race numbers, participants | 5:30am |

| Packets / T-shirts - Hand out race packets and t-shirts to participants | 5:30am |
| Auction - Organize bid sheets, encourage bids, tally results, collect fees | 7:00am |
| Body Marking - Mark participant’s arms and thighs with race numbers | 5:30am |
| Health and Eco Fair - Tables set up with table clothes and Company name | 7:30am |
| Kid’s Zone - Oversee youth activities, color books, crafts, obstacle course | 7:00am |
| Mystery Events - Help implement the mystery events for participants | 6:30am |
| Bike Station - Make sure people are getting to their bikes and on them safely | 6:30am |
| Through the transition | |
| Bike Transition - Ensure bikers are off bikes in transition, and directing them to | 7:00am |
| Next leg | |
| Route / directions - Ensure participants safety and give directions (right, left, straight) | 6:30am |
| Stop traffic if participant is passing by. | |
| Trailer - Follows last person in the race to ensure their safety and to let volunteers | 6:30am |
| Know when to leave their post | |
| Kayaks – Assist participants in and out of kayaks safely | 7:00am |
| Lifejackets / Paddles - Assist participants in putting on and returning equipment | 7:00am |
| Water (H20) Stations - Ensure water coolers are full and put water into cups | 6:30am |
| and hand out to participants. Pick up all cups and place in the trash. | |
| Finish Line - Assist the Results company as runners enter the finish line area | 7:00am |
| Photos / Video - Take photos and videos of the various segments of the race | 6:30am |
